"I know, right? But why do I have to be the one with the can that used to have beans in it?"
At the very top of a hill somewhere inside a cemetery, two male teenagers are talking to each other through two cans connected by a long, thin strand of nylon. One sits on the ground and the other, on top of a tombstone.
They talk long into the afternoon, until the sun sets.
".and how they used to make fun of our matching skinny jeans."
"...and how they used to love looking at our matching converse"
And they laugh because of the memories.
"Have things been the same since the accident?"
"...Not for me."
"You don't have to keep looking for that truck, y'know. It's all right."
And they grow silent, because he doesn't reply.
"Hey. You're not going to forget about me, right?"
When he still doesn't reply, the one on the tombstone, for the first time since the accident, becomes worried.
"H-hey, y-you can still hear me, right?"
And after a heart-clenching silence, the one not on the tombstone, smiles.
"Yeah... I can still hear you."

And with a sigh of relief, the one holding the can that used to have beans in it, finally fades away.
